(January 09, 2012) Chicago Public Media has hired Judy Lindsey, a native Chicagoan with over 30 years of fundraising and human services experience, as its new Vice President of Philanthropy, it was announced today by Alison Scholly, Chicago Public Media Chief Operating Officer. As Vice President of Philanthropy, Lindsey will oversee Chicago Public Media’s strategies to build upon the organization’s successful $15 million capital campaign.
(January 5, 2012) The New Year brings exciting new roles for veteran talent at Chicago Public Media’s WBEZ 91.5FM, it was announced today by Chicago Public Media CEO Torey Malatia. Effective Monday morning, January 9, award-winning news anchor and producer Tony Sarabia, who has served in various positions at the station since 1991, will serve as the new interim host of WBEZ’s popular Eight Forty-Eight morning show.
The popular Sound Opinions at the Movies series will screen 24 Hour Party People, “the unbelievably true story of one man, one movement, the music and madness that was Manchester,” at the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Avenue, Thursday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m. Chicago Public Media’s Sound Opinions, the world’s only rock ‘n’ roll talk show, is co-hosted by acclaimed pop music critics Greg Kot of the Chicago Tribune and Jim DeRogatis of WBEZ.org and airs on more than 90 radio stations around the country.
November 28, 2011 (Chicago, IL) – Chicago Public Media’s Vocalo (Real.Live.Radio) is proud to announce it will simulcast its popular Vocalo Morning AMp program on two Chicago-area college radio stations --WLUW-FM 88.7, broadcasting from the campus of Loyola University Chicago, and WRSE-FM serving Elmhurst College, weekdays beginning Tuesday, November 29, from 8-10am.
