Brendan Banaszak serves as Sound Opinions' Executive Producer. In that role, Brendan leads the show’s production team and handles distribution development, audience development, business development and strategic planning. Brendan was previously Director of Collaborative News Strategy at NPR where he worked with the member station system and oversaw the overhaul of the Morning Edition clock. Before that Brendan worked on All Things Considered, where he produced, directed and edited. For years he ran the show's music reviews and ran remote broadcasts. He’s a veteran field producer – who’s worked all over, and won a Peabody for his work on NPR’s team that covered the earthquake in China in 2008.
He is a Chicago native.
